Containing descriptions of all British racecourses and the major Irish ones, this guide also has details of their locations and directions for reaching them. Many course plans are included, showing not only the layout of the track but where the different enclosures and parking and refreshment facilities are in relation to the course. Details of entrance fees and a calendar of events to the spring of 1994 are provided, and there are lists of AA-approved places to stay and eat within a ten-mile radius, covering a wide price-range, from hotels to camping sites. John Francome has contributed descriptions of his favourite courses and a "Duffer's Guide to Betting", to help newcomers to the sport to place their bets sensibly.
