Fundamental Rights in the Constitution: Commentary and Cases

The Final Constitution, heavily influenced by the Interim Constitution and by Comparative Law, has changed the legal system in South Africa. The interpretation of the Constitution's extended application and the implication of the Bill of Rights, should be of use to both legal practitioners and students. The book analyzes the interpretation and implications of each section of the Bill of Rights within the resulting framework of these influences. The text deals with each section of the Constitution in a succinct matter, drawing upon the relevant South African and comaprative material. A set of important cases from those of foreign jurisdictions which have contributed to the development of our own constitutional jurispudence has been included.
