In RUGBY TALES, Lawrence Dallaglio recalls with affection, honesty and razor-sharp humour, the classic behind-the-scenes stories that have previously only been shared within the world of international rugby. Lawrence's tales come from the dressing room, the pitch (featuring the far-from-stirring speech by a Lions captain as he and his team stood underneath their own posts for the umpteenth time), the bar and the after-match dinners (where the mother of an All Black legend was described by an England captain to the player himself as 'an ugly old bird') and all reveal the hilarious side of rugby that the fans rarely see or hear. All the rugby greats are featured in the stories Lawrence tells, ranging from the heroes of the amateur era to the stars of the modern game. If the stories weren't true, you wouldn't make them up. You wouldn't be allowed to!
