This book is an illustrated introduction to scraperboard, covering the history of the medium and the various tools and materials involved and the different techniques to be learned. Although generally associated with reproduction in black and white, the exciting possibilities in combination with pure colour and subtle mixtures of colours with black are explained. The effects achieved by using varied tools on black, white and textured boards, and the employment of copper and silver foil are also described. The book includes step-by-step illustrations and finished examples, by an artist who is famous for her special techniques in this medium.
