Molecular Aspects of Histopathology

Molecular biology has transformed the practice of histopathology in recent years. Knowledge of the molecular organization of the cell has led to the development of powerful new techniques which bring greater accuracy and objectivity to the diagnosis, prognosis and management of many diseases, and to the study of pathological states. This study describes the molecular techniques available along with other methods related to the molecular biology of the cell. It explores how each technique can be applied successfully.
