Writing from a wealth of experience, Chris Cradock has produced a manual of techniques and hardware in clayshooting. The book deals initially with modern shotguns and cartridge and the specifications of both for the various disciplines. Then there is information on the try-gun, fitting and stock alterations. Buying a gun, suitable clothing and accessories are then discussed before the book covers the basics of the sport such as safety, stance and style. Shooting the various disciplines forms the basis of the next chapter. More general information is given in subsequent sections which deal with refereeing, shooting clubs, trap operations and control, coaching and maintenance. There is also a chapter on the sport's future.
