Chicago not only boasts some of the USA's greatest skyscrapers, but it is also the Green City, an endless lawn bounded by the lapping waters of Lake Michigan. Chicago is also the home of jazz and the blues, and the capital of black literature all of which were born out of the violence and hardships of the city streets.
