Biology of Amphibians

Providing a broad view of amphibians, this text aims to demonstrate their medical and biological significance. Most accounts deal with just a few "types" (Rana, Xenopus and possible Salamandra). A knowledge of amphibian morphological and life style diversity shows what a promising group they are for more detailed study and gives some idea of their ecological, biochemical and even pharmaceutical significance.
