Background: A tracheostomy is a surgical procedure in which a small opening is made in the neck and directly into the trachea or windpipe to allow for the insertion of a breathing tube.Objective: To investigate the knowledge and skill-set of nursing specialists in the realm of tracheostomy care. Materials & Methods: This was a descriptive, cross-sectional study. A structured questionnaire was utilized to gather data from the study participants. The research was carried out at Services Hospital in Lahore, Pakistan, a facility that caters to patients from Punjab and the city of Lahore.Results: A total of 150 respondents were included in the study, ranging in age from 20 to 50 years. The investigation, conducted at Services Hospital in Lahore, aimed to evaluate the knowledge and practice of nurses regarding tracheostomy care. Out of the participants, 16.66% (n=25) fell into the age bracket of 20-30 years, 50.00% (n=75) were in the 31-40 age group, and the remaining 33.34% (n=50) belonged to the 41-50 age range.
