This volume contains 115 papers presented at the IFAC Youth Automation Conference held in Beijing, PRC from 22-25 August 1995. This was the first conference of its kind and aimed to provide young scholars and specialists in automation technology with an opportunity to exchange and discuss information.
The papers are arranged in fourteen categories and there are also four plenary papers covering such topics as discrete event dynamic systems, process control and adaptive control.
