This study presents an up-to-date analysis of the current tests and procedures available during pregnancy, explaining them in detail to enable women to choose the methods most suited to their needs and desires. The author considers that many of these tests and technological advances have been neglected in the current surge of interest in more "natural" methods. She notes that whilst many women may choose natural childbirth, there are others who may want or need more careful monitoring such as those who develop pregnancy disorders, who need a caesarian section or who are having their first child later in life. The layout is divided into three parts, each discussing three months of pregnancy and noting the changes and different measures available for each stage. Thus, the book is designed to enable mothers-to-be, and those planning a pregnancy, both to make the best choice for themselves and their baby and to understand the tests and treatments on offer to them, whether routine, optional or necessary for their well-being. The author has also written "How To Cure Your Ulcer", "First Aid and Home Safety" and The Danart Guide for Back Pain Sufferers".
