Over recent years there has been an increasing interest in surgical conditions of the mouth and jaws as exemplified by the numerous papers published on this subject. This text presents an illustrated synthesis of current knowledge concerning the pathology of surgically-treated conditions of the mouth and jaw. This information is supported by details of epidemiology, aetiology, classification, clinical and radiological features. Surgical and non-surgical aspects of management are discussed, as well as follow-up considerations and prognosis.
