Have you ever had a dream so vivid and real . . . that you were convinced it could have actually happened in some mysterious wrinkle of time and space?
Have you ever wished to see a lost loved one, know peace, or gain closure . . . and then encountered experiences that fulfilled those wishes (but cannot be rationally explained)?
And perhaps, even though they are dreams or perceptions, that doesn't mean they aren't real. Isn't that a wonderfully comforting spiritual concept?
Approximately twenty years ago, author Charlotte Carter had just such a dream.
Not only did this dream's details and picture in her mind's eye remain palpable-like a real memory-into the next day and also decades later, but it also contained the shared vision of others, specifically a scene that her mother also dreamed around the same time . . . one so tangible that it awoke her in the middle of the night.
Because the details of Charlotte's dream never faded, unlike many others that become wispy and fuzzy with time, it has now been brought to life on the pages of this book, suitable for all ages.
Written lovingly for anyone who is grappling with the need to say goodbye when perhaps they didn't get a chance, for anyone who could be wondering how it all might work up there, and anyone who needs a little comfort. Relatable, approachable, and whimsical, The Train from Heaven: One More Day is a light-hearted and heart-warming rhyming book. It tells a tale of an extra day shared with a visiting angel.
Based on a true story.

Charlotte Hudson Carter is a Dallas native and lifelong Texan. She attended The Hockaday School for girls, graduating cum laude in 1999. Among other pursuits and academics, she was an AP physics student, a varsity cheerleader, and she painted and drew. She attended The University of Texas at Austin, studying architecture and then advertising, pledged Chi Omega, served in the student government, and graduated with honors. She holds a bachelor of science in advertising, with minors in architecture, French, and business. Writing was never Charlotte's pursuit until the age of forty, when she embarked on this book in 2020. As a self-described visual learner, verbal processor, and spatial thinker, she envisioned how this book project would come to life and has found tremendous comfort in the ability of words to convey emotions and help bring the personal picture in her mind's eye -- her dream experience -- to life for the reader. Charlotte worked in ad agencies for twenty years, specifically in the field of quantitative media strategy, planning, and buying for such firms as The Davis Group in Austin, The Richards Group in Dallas, and Slingshot in Dallas. She made the leap to client-side advertising and marketing in 2022, joining Dallas retail icon Neiman Marcus to lead brand media and then joining Galderma in 2024 as their US head of media, leading creative media activation for skincare brands. It was Charlotte's ad industry colleagues that connected her to the editor and illustrator for this book!
