Present Poets: Scotland to the World to Scotland v.2

This book follows on from the success of Present Poets, a compilation of new poetry written for the opening of the Museum of Scotland. Scotland to the World to Scotland is the theme for this second collection -- this time, fifty-one poems record the impact of leaving Scotland. From governor general to GI bride, from missionary to man on the moon, this volume covers a wide span of time and distance in its exploration of exile. There are poems about arrivals and departures, absence and rediscovery, and about the threads that draw people together, no matter how far apart they are.
