COMP POTTER THROWING

This introductory text looks at the techniques of throwing in pottery. Beginning with a section on preparing clay, equipment and materials, the author shows, with a series of sequence photographs, how to use the potter's wheel to create a wide variety of functional and ornamental forms. Lastly, the book illustrates how to decorate and distort the thrown clay form. Examples of finished work are shown throughout.
