Genie Byrd continues to make a positive impact in the world of children through her books. Genie's books address tough topics like divorce and death, as well as character building and communication. Genie enjoys visiting schools, motivating young writers, and sharing writing tips. Retired from 34 years as a teacher, counselor, and administrator, Genie believes it's time to work harder than ever to help children who are hurting, confused, or scared and to bring them joy. Genie and her husband James live in Evans, Georgia.
