"As the subtitle of this book states, it is intended as inspiration for those new to Islam. This covers three groups of people: Those who are totally new to Islam. That is, they know little or nothing about Islam. However, it is not a comprehensive introduction to the religion. Instead, this book covers major aspects of the religion, but not in a comprehensive way, for reasons outlined below. Those who are interested in Islam and Muslims. Perhaps they have read articles about Islam in the media, and wondered whether what was written (usually by non-Muslims) corresponds to what Muslims actually believe. Perhaps they have heard about Islam and realize that it is a major world religion, and that they should therefore learn more about it, from first-hand sources. Those who are converting to Islam, or have recently converted, and therefore only know the basics. The chapters in this book should fill in many of the gaps, and add to their knowledge of the background of the religion"--
