First Class

Looks at the "first" beginnings of some of today's everyday objects and events including the first jeans, the first yo-yo, the first cartoon character and the first motorized pogo stick. "First Class" explains that the first crisps were invented by an American Indian Chief who went under the oddly appropriate name of George Crum and that baths were illegal in Spain until the 19th century. This book is written by the team, going under the pseudonym of Alan Brown, that wrote "My Most Embarrassing Moment" and "The Soaps Quiz Book".
