Concise Veterinary Dictionary

This dictionary, compiled by an Anglo-American team of veterinary specialists, is written at a level that should be of use to veterinary students and pet owners, as well as vets and farmers. It contains 7000 headwords, 200 line drawings and a glossary with which to interpret the vet's jargon. The wide range of subjects covered include animal husbandry, biochemistry, diagnostic techniques, diseases of livestock and other domestic animals, disease-causing organisms and their vectors, drugs used to treat and prevent disease, endocrinology, genetics, histology, immunology, laws relating to animals and diseases, meat inspection, physiology, skeletal components and body organs, stockbreeding, surgical operations and instruments, toxicology, veterinary institutions and animal welfare bodies.
