Mists of Menorca is a sweeping historical adventure set in the Balearic Islands during the 18th century. It follows Sebastian (Seba) Krizomatis, a Greek teenager torn between a longing for freedom, the allure of adventure at sea, and the weight of familial responsibility after harrowing, year-long journey across the Mediterranean Sea. Arriving on the island of Menorca in 1767, Seba navigates storms both literal and metaphorical as he struggles to find his footing in Menorca's bustling, British-occupied port town of Mahón. Against a backdrop of political disputes, deadly pirate raids, cultural mandates, and shifting family dynamics, Seba must confront personal and external demons, forge alliances with a colorful cast of characters (from shipmates to criminals to mind-reading horses and gin makers), dispel the mists of Menorca, and ultimately determine where his true loyalties lie.
