This new edition of A Walking Tour Hong Kong is a study in contrasts as a collage of buildings old and new is set against a canvas of colonialism and modernism. Architect G. Byrne Bracken takes his passion to the streets of Hong Kong capturing with his sketches the duality of Hong Kong's built environment; from shop houses to skyscrapers, temples to churches, mansions to make-shift vendor stalls. Covering favourite places such as The Peak, Nathan Road, Tsim Sha Tsui and more, with the abouts, beyonds and surroundings, this beautiful-book-cum-walking-guide will enhance anyone's appreciation of Hong Kong's history, culture and temperament through its distinctive urban landscape.
