Blockchain technology is now emerging as a disruptive innovation capable of profoundly transforming the agri-food sector. It offers concrete solutions to trust issues linked to product traceability and the authenticity of information provided to consumers. However, the agri-food supply chain involves a multitude of players, often geographically dispersed, which complicates the management, sharing and verification of data. In this globalized context, agricultural cooperatives are called upon to enhance the transparency of their operations to improve their competitiveness and meet growing market expectations. This work is part of an in-depth analysis of the perceptions of players in the agri-food sector regarding the challenges and opportunities associated with the integration of blockchain technology into supply chains. This synthesis sheds light on existing theoretical and empirical contributions, while identifying the specific benefits that this emerging technology can offer companies in the sector.
