This book provides an explanation and interpretation of the law and professional regulation relating to a solicitors' partnership, including drafting the agreement; taxation; finance; accounts and matters of professional conduct. Expanding the firm and retirement from the firm are also dealt with. Coverage is given of the Practice Rules, Publicity Code and the Introductions and Referrals Code. Material on practising abroad, including Overseas Practice Rules and the effect of the European element and 1992 upon the profession is included. The final chapter deals exclusively with the Solicitors Incorporated Practice Rules. The book identifies the many legal problems which will be encountered during the life of a firm and emphasizes the need to look for practical solutions. Particular attention is paid to the drafting of a partnership agreement and the book also provides coverage of revisions of the Law Society regulations and the Publicity and Introductions and Referrals Codes.
