A thoroughly revised and updated edition of this atlas which takes into account advances in the diagnosis of diabetes which have come to light in recent years. This book is not intended as a manual about the details of carbohydrate metabolism or the fundamentals of insulin synthesis and receptors although it does illustrate many aspects of the aetiology and management of diabetes besides many of the results of poor control. Its purpose is to present, in graphic form, the clinical and histological mangifestations of diabetes and it is hoped that, in this way, it will prove of practical value to the chiropodist, medical student, the house physician, diabetes specialist, endocrinologist and general practitioner who wishes to gain an up-to-date and better understanding of this common disorder.
