Sicily and the Aeolian Islands

This guide to Sicily and the Aeolian Islands completes the series of regional guides to Italy. Although the general organization of the book is informal, the specific places are dealt with in detail, offering walking tours that take readers around the major sites and through the finest countryside. In most cases, these walks are designed to last two hours, but tours of the major cities, such as Palermo, Catania and Syracuse, take a little longer. The guide contains a selection of some 30 cities, towns and nature reserves, arranged in geographic "constellations". At the end of each chapter are suggestions on how to get around, where to stay and eat, and what to see.
