Recent research has established, with a considerable degree of reliability, both the causes of the disease and the nature of its progressive development. Just as important, clinical research has also validated a number of options for accurate diagnosis, for effective treatment - and also for prevention. This book is designed to promote a better and more widespread understanding of osteoporosis, and to explain the important implications of recent research findings.
