From street level to skyline, Birmingham: A Drone's Eye View
captures the city as never before, with striking images and insightful legends
created entirely through drone photography. Jonathan Berg reveals the drama of
Birmingham's architecture, landscapes and everyday spaces from bold new vantage
points.
The book takes readers on a journey across the city.
Landmarks both familiar and hidden are brought to life in high-impact images,
each paired with legends that are concise yet highly informative. They explain
what is shown and why it matters, revealing the character of a city that is
constantly evolving, full of contrasts between historic roots and ambitious new
developments.
Technical end-notes provide a glimpse into the challenges of
urban drone photography. They show how drones can be used creatively to frame
Birmingham in ways that ground-based cameras cannot, while highlighting the
practical and artistic decisions involved.
The result is a unique portrait of Birmingham - energetic,
surprising and full of detail. It is a book for residents who want to
rediscover their city, for visitors keen to explore it in depth, and for anyone
interested in urban change and the art of photography.
