Bek's Introduction to SQL Programming

A practical introduction to the fundamentals of SQL programming. The material systematically progresses from an examination of what Relational Database Management Systems are and why they exist, through the coding techniques required for querying single and multiple tables to create, retrieve, update, and delete data. Aspects of database administration, security, data integrity, and management are explored. The text is appropriate for self-study, or for a first course in SQL Programming at the Community College or University level, of about 8-weeks or one-half semester.
