Published on the occasion of the exhibition set up at Villa Bardini (Florence) between 20 October 2022 and 31 January 2023, this volume is dedicated to the portrait of Queen Elizabeth executed in 1954 by Pietro Annigoni, here in the rigorous and faithful replica created by Romano Stefanelli under Annigoni's direct supervision. The exhibition and the book make use of the rich historical documentation held by the Annigoni Fund of the Historical Archive of the CR Firenze Foundation, as well as other precious private loans.
