Port Authority of Vietnam in the future - Pilot at Haiphong port

In the development trend of ports in the world, the factors ¿port management model¿ and ¿port authority¿ will much affect the efficiency of port management and business operation administration. To have a model of port management appropriate to historical context and political - economic ¿ social conditions of each country, some nations had to experiment for decades to find out proper management model for their ports. Therefore, in the context that Vietnam is a member of WTO, and ASEAN sea-port association, the innovation of management model for sea ports of Vietnam at the moment is imperative. With pilot objectives for the whole national, Hai Phong port that is a port with the largest quantity of cargo in the North of Vietnam, having a full and safe system of equipment and infrastructure, suitable for international transport and trading methods. So, Hai Phong port has pilot conditions for the implementation of the new model.
