Structured like a musical composition in three parts, this sequence covers all stages of Richard Avedon's life, from the earliest private pictures to portraits of the stars - from Ezra Pound and Marilyn Monroe to Bob Dylan and Andy Warhol - as well as heroic faces of the unknown.
