Standard Developments and Archive Services in Ireland

This new publication is prepared by the Irish Region of the Society of Archivists, which is the professional association for archivists in Ireland. For the first time a standard is available in Ireland which is based on the best of international standards and practices and which also incorporates the valuable experiences and developments of archivists in Ireland. The standards are aimed at those people and institutions wishing to establish archives services and at archivists to assist them in their commitment to their professional duties. The creation, preservation and management of archives in Ireland are also discussed.
