[.] Clíodhna muss gewusst haben, dass sie mit Ciabhán nicht auf der Insel bleiben konnte. Sie flohen im Boot mit dem Kupferbug. Als sie in einer Bucht anlegten, ging Ciabhán in den Wald, um einen Hirsch zu erlegen. Da kam Manannán mac Lir mit vierzig Schiffen, um Clíodhna zurückzuholen. Ichnu der Flötenspieler spielte sie in den Schlaf, und das Meer erfasste sie. Seither trägt jede zehnte Welle in dieser Bucht Clíodhnas Namen.
Die Welt unter Wasser muss von einem grünlichen Licht erfüllt sein. Früher fanden Fischer manchmal Apfelblüten in ihren Netzen oder einen goldenen Becher. Womit füllt sich der Raum in unserem Gedächtnis, wenn wir die Vergangenheit vergessen? Die Wellen spülen weiße Schaumränder an den Strand.
