Today is the most amazing period of transformational change in organizations. Qatar¿s National Vision 2030 emphasized the knowledge-based economy characterized by innovation entrepreneurship. Organizational changes theories have historically focused on the characteristics of the organization that are important to change, such as, culture. More importantly, national culture is one of the essential variables that influence the previous life of employees and their values background. Employee commitment to change is a better predictor of behavioral support for change initiatives. Additionally, for organizations to assist employees to be motivated and prepared for change, it is essential that leaders understand readiness for change. The main objective of this study is to examine the national culture values of Qatar. Then, investigate the influence of Qatar national values on commitment to organizational change and explore the mediating effect of readiness for change when used as mediating variable. This quantitative study adds to the body of knowledge as the first study addresses the interaction among national culture dimensions, commitment to change and readiness to change.
