The first time Pete Sawyer sets eyes on Manon Jabot is in the garden of a hotel in Cannes, where she's being beaten up by her rival, Sandrine Tally. Two years later Manon lives in Sandrine's apartment with a man who is found with a bullet in his heart and one in his head. Sandrine has disappeared.
