Pet Shop of Horrors: v. 5

"Dual": The Kirin is a mythical creature associated with good fortune. Known as a shaper of destiny, and a maker of kings and emperors, no creature has brought more change to the world than the Kirin...or more death. When Count D sells a young Congressman a Kirin, the eager politician eyes nothing less than the U.S. presidency, a promise the Kirin can no doubt fulfill. But, as the Congressman and his assistant are about to discover, the Kirin has its own ideas about destiny. One man will be chosen to rule, while the other will be left paying the Kirin's price. But, which one will it be? "Dat Nursery": If Count D thought Detective Orcot was a handful, wait till he meets his brother! When Leon drops off his younger brother, Christopher, at Count D's for a day, he wasn't expecting any trouble. After all, Christopher hasn't spoken a word in months. Or at least, he hasn't spoken to any people in months. Humor and pathos combine in a story that reveals much about Leon's family, and in so doing, about Leon himself.
"Darling": In what may be the more terrifying tale to grace the pages of Pet Shop of Horrors yet, Count D must face down a beast that will shake even his stoic nature to the core...Leon's apartment! Also, Chris meets a mysterious girl with emerald eyes. Who is she, and perhaps more important, what's her involvement with Leon's latest case? "Dance": When dancers and dreams come together, the results can be wondrous-or terribly destructive. And when the place of union is Count D's pet shop, Detective Orcot has a pretty good idea which of the two to expect...
