Grammarians before Panini had named these Secondary Roots as carkar¿ta Roots. So Panini placed this word carkar¿ta here to indicate that the Ashtadhyayi Sutra 2.4.72 adiprabh¿tibhyä ¿apä applies to such yäluganta Roots. Even though it is a Ganasutra and not a Dhatusutra, still the Siddhanta Kaumudi has given it a Dhatu Number !

1618 m¿rga säsk¿ragatyö ¿ In Siddhanta Kaumudi this is listed as a separate Root. However in standard Dhatupathas, including Madhaviya Dhatuvritti it is not distinct. Already a distinct Root 1846 m¿rga anve¿äe is present in Dhatupatha. Here Root 1618 onwards Dhatu Serial Number differs by 1 from Siddhanta Kaumudi.
