Ed and his personal assistant Pol mysteriously disappear from their home in England late one night. Signs of an abduction lead Andrew Faux to believe his colleague and friend is no longer on Earth and he summons the Gabriel's crew.

Along with retired GDA Commander Bache Loftt and their sentient starship, Cleo, they begin the search for their friend and captain.

Quickly escalating into something much more than a revenge kidnapping, it transpires that not only could the population of Earth be in serious peril, but the inevitable consequences will critically undress the balance of power within the human worlds of the Milky Way.
