The storm is here, the clouds turn grey,
it looks like trouble's on its way.
When a child's once-familiar world is turned upside down, one thing remains a constant - the love and reassurance of her grandpa.
Through the fiercest of winds and the wildest of waves, together, they can ride out the storm.
A lyrical, heartfelt book which celebrates the power of family and community in times of uncertainty.

Kate Abernethy (Author)
Kate Abernethy is a Scottish children's author. She was a bit of a bookworm growing up, reading anything she could get her hands on. She has an MA in English Literature, but spent a number of years working as an accountant before following her dream of writing for children. Kate loves the challenge of making every word count and, when not wrestling words into shape, you may find her strolling through the woodlands or tinkering at a spreadsheet. She lives in the New Forest, Hampshire, with her family and a pesky cat.
Katie Hickey (Illustrator)
Katie is a freelance illustrator who graduated from Falmouth University in beautiful (and slightly soggy) Cornwall, England in 2016.
Having grown up in Cornwall, and also in the middle-east, Katie takes inspiration from her travels and surroundings to create characterful and atmospheric images. She particularly loves creating illustrations about the quirky stories and characters she meets along the way. Her work deals with both narrative and information and often combines the two.
