Elias Abdalla-Filho is a Brazilian psychiatrist and the current Co-chair of the Forensic Psychiatry Section of the World Psychiatric Association, Switzerland. He has been working in psychiatry for 38 years, including hospitals and private practice. He served as Head of the Forensic Psychiatry service at the Institute of Legal Medicine in Brasilia (Brazil) for 20 years and was Coordinator of the Forensic Psychiatry Department of the Brazilian Psychiatry Association. He is currently a full member of the International Psychoanalytic Association, and holds a PhD in Health Sciences from the University of Brasilia, Brazil. He has published several scientific articles and edited numerous books and journals on forensic psychiatry. He is the author of the book 'Personality disorders in the 10th and 11th editions of the International Classification of Diseases', published in 2022 by Cambridge Scholars Publishing.
