Using hi-tech climbing technology and a hot-air balloon, Charlotte explores the soaring canopy of the Borneo rainforest - a green landscape hundreds of feet off the ground filled with all kinds of animal life. She also takes a boat into the flooded forest floor of the Amazon, where fish and dolphins swim between the trees. Finally, she delves into the dense underworld of the Congo at ground level - dark, damp and full of dangerous animals. This is her account of her journey, and through her words and research we are given a day-to-day glimpse of a fascinating world, from the largest primates to the tiniest insects.
Rezensionen / Stimmen
Acclaim for TALKING WITH ANIMALS: 'As this book clearly shows, she doesn't need to stand in front of the camera to grab an audience's attention. The book gives her space to explain in far greater detail about the role of different communication methods...it is more than just visually appealing. Talking with Animals is a pretty up-to-date introduction to the state of research into animal communications.' - New Scientist
