E.W. Swanton, who turned 90 in 1997, is a legend among followers of cricket. This is his "edited" autobiography, culled from his journalism as well as new material. He wrote his first article on the batsman Frank Wooley in 1928, and still writes regularly for the "Telegraph" and the "Cricketer".
