In conjunction with the International Year of the Mountains, the "Rough Guide to the Music of the Alps" brings you more than the average yodelling CD experience, with a range of tracks whose roots are firmly placed in the footholds of the Alps. This CD includes tracks from Northern Italy, Eastern France, Switzerland, Austria, Germany and Slovenia, and features the well and not so well known artists from this untapped musical resource. The CD was compiled by Woolfgang Schlag, who presents a weekly radio show on Oe 1 radio station in Austria.
