Basic Business Role Plays

Designed for use with an accompanying collection of activities for students of business English, this audio cassette gives additional information on each topic and provides preparation for the activities/role plays, using a variety of accents. Chosen to reflect ways in which English is used in business contexts, these activities progress from simple to more complex activities within each of the ten units. Exchanging information, giving mini-presentations, negotiating in small groups, and using English in social contexts are just some of the topics covered. Each activity is also based on a theme chosen to be of interest to students already in work as well as for those studying on pre-vocational courses. They include: "Receiving Foreign Visitors", "Travel Arrangements", "Supermarkets or Shops?", "Choosing a Supplier" and "Closing a Hospital".
