First broadcast in the late-1970s, these Radio 4 dramatizations feature the cynical and world-weary private eye Philip Marlowe. The first involves the death of a promiscuous wife; the second, the disappearance of a Kansas man whose associates had tended to end up on the wrong end of an ice-pick.
