Set in Havana, "Bold Venture" was first broadcast in 1950. Bogart plays hotel-owner Slate Shannon, Bacall is Sailor Duval, left under Slate's supervision after the death of her father. But Sailor is well able to take care of herself among the drop-outs and treasure-hunters in the run-down hotel.
