Starting English for Business: Cassettes

This is part of a course for students who have had some basic instruction in English, and who are now at the pre-intermediate level. It concentrates on fundamental aspects of the language within a business context and aims to diagnose problem areas for resolution by practice. The course can be used with students at various levels, for example, on an intensive beginners level, on a "false beginner" level, where the student's knowledge has been haphazardly acquired, and on a review level for more advanced students seeking to refine and perfect their skills in business English. The book comprises 24 units on "Language in Use", a section on business correspondence, a tapescript, an answer key and a multi-language word list. The C60 cassettes to which the tapescript (above) refers, offer material for the initial listening tasks as well as guidance on stress and intonation guidance.
