Beschreibung
Risk Management and Insurance Review (RMIR) publishes respected, accessible, and high-quality applied research, and well-reasoned opinion and discussion in the field of risk and insurance. In addition to full-length 'Feature Articles' and 'Perspectives,' the journal publishes 'Data Insights' which highlight new or underutilized sources of data relevant to current risk management and insurance policy making. RMIR is sponsored by the American Risk and Insurance Association.
The Review's "Feature Articles" section includes original research involving applications and applied techniques. Submissions may be theoretical, empirical, or conceptual in nature and are subject to an anonymous peer-review process.
The "Perspectives Articles" section contains articles providing new insights on research literature, business practice, and public policy. These articles may be primarily scholarly (i.e., of a survey or historical nature) or may consist of opinion and discussion. Submissions to the Perspectives Articles section are also subject to an anonymous peer-review process.
"Data Insights" are papers that highlight new or underutilized sources of data relevant to current risk management and insurance policy making. Papers should provide a brief discussion of the data and include a brief analysis that is suitable for non-academic readers. Ideal papers will emphasize the credibility and reliability of the data and explain how the data may be useful for policy making and further policy-relevant research. Manuscripts submitted for the Data Insights section are subject to an expedited anonymous peer-review process and must not exceed 2,000 words. Authors should emphasize the main findings in the opening paragraphs.
