European Taxation was first published as an eight-page fortnightly periodical on 15 January 1961. This journal was the answer to the thorny question that appeared in conversations within the organization in 1959: could IBFD autonomously publish an English-language periodical?
European Taxation was the first subscription-based publication fully developed by IBFD staff members. It was also the first periodical publication IBFD released in English.
