Clinical and Experimental Medicine publishes reports of clinical and experimental work concerned with the following fields: clinical chemistry, hematology, immunology, oncology and virology. The major criteria for publication will be clarity, experimental soundness and advances in knowledge. Papers containing new clinical or experimental data, or which are likely to contribute to changes in clinical practice or in thinking about a disease will be given priority due to their immediate importance.
The following types of articles will be considered for publication: invited or unsolicited Reviews and Editorials; Original papers; Short communications; Letters to the Editor. Submission of case reports, clinical trials and epidemiological studies is not encouraged. The Editor-in-Chief will under certain circumstances consider for publication monothematic issues and supplements devoted to congress proceedings. The peer review process for these articles is the same as the peer review process of the journal in general. Additionally, if the guest editor(s) authors an article in their special issue, they will not handle the peer review process.
